憧れのレイクオハラの旅

Today we had Mr and Mrs. H, originally from Tokyo but living in the USA now. They wanted a beginner hiking course and also to see the biggest lake in the Lake O’Hara area so we visited Lake McArthur. 今日は東京出身で現在アメリカ在住のHさんご夫妻にお越しいただきました。 彼らは初心者向けのハイキングコースとオハラ湖エリアで一番大きな湖を見たいということで、マッカーサー湖を訪れました。

We had a pleasant day watching animals, birds, flowers and beautiful scenery. Weather was great, not too hot, not too cold. 動物、鳥、花、美しい景色を見て楽しい一日を過ごしました。 天気も良く、暑すぎず寒すぎずでした。

This may look like a pile of rocks but actually it’s an easy path that has been maintained for over 100 years by some of the best trail builders and the Lake O’Hara trail club. これは岩が多いトレイルのように見えるかもしれませんが、実際にはトレイルの整備は見事で非常に歩きやすく、レイク オハラ トレイル クラブによって 100 年以上維持されている綺麗なトレイルです。

Nice views in every direction. どの方向にも素晴らしい景色が見えます。

A few interesting spots but nothing too difficult or scarry. 興味深いスポットがいくつかありますが、難しすぎたり怖かったりするものはありません。

Had our lunch by beautiful Lake McArthur. 美しいマッカーサー湖のほとりで昼食をとりました。

We searched for white mountain goats but only found this hair. 白いシロイワヤギを探しましたが、この毛しか見つかりませんでした。

We finished up by walking along Lake O’Hara. 最後はオハラ湖沿いを歩いて終わりました。
