Hello, This is your Yamnuska Guide Chris. Today I had the Okui’s as my guests for the Larch Valley hike in the Moraine Lake area. First stop we were lucky enough to catch the Banff sign when it is not too busy, usually there is a big line up here.

こんにちは、ヤムナスカのガイド、クリスです。 今日はモレーンレイクエリアのラーチバリのハイキングに奥井夫妻をご案内させていただきました。 最初の目的地は、幸運にもあまり混雑していない時間帯にバンフの標識を見つけることができました。通常、ここには大行列ができています。

We drove for 1 hour from Banff to get to Moraine Lake Parking lot, the last 11km can only be accessed by tour companies like us!

バンフからモレーンレイクの駐車場まで車で1時間、モレーンレイクへのアクセルロードの11kmは私たちのようなツアー会社のみがアクセスできます。

Moraine Lake sits in the Valley of the 10 peaks, one of its striking features is the ¾ Couloir, (between peak 3 and 4) some people climb up this and then ski down, can you imagine!

モレーン湖は 10 峰の谷に位置し、その顕著な特徴の 1 つは 3/4 クーロワール (峰 3 と 4 の間) で、ここを登ってからスキーで滑り降りる人もいます。想像できるでしょうか。

Ahh, top of the 10 switchbacks, little snack break and then the walking gets easier and the views are amazing!

Our destination Minnestimma Lake. The water was about 8 degrees Celsius.

We enjoyed flower photos, this is the Western Anemone.

Today we walked 9.69km with 554m elevation gain.
